On the 27th, as the weather was mild, a citizen is seen resting by making a bed out of chairs at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Friday the 28th, temperatures are expected to be warmer than average. With warm air flowing in from the southwest, temperatures will remain higher than the usual range (-5 to 4 degrees Celsius for lows, 7 to 12 degrees for highs) until March 2nd.
They also highlighted that in the inland regions of Gyeongsang Province, the temperature difference between day and night could be around 15 degrees Celsius, urging people to take care of their health due to these sudden changes. The morning temperatures by region are forecast as follows: Seoul/Incheon 3°C, Chuncheon -2°C, Sejong 2°C, Gwangju/Daegu 5°C, and Busan 7°C. The daytime highs are expected to range from 8°C to 18°C, with specific regional forecasts of Seoul 12°C, Incheon 8°C, Chuncheon 12°C, Sejong 13°C, Gwangju 15°C, Daegu 17°C, and Busan 15°C.
Overall, the country is expected to be mostly cloudy, clearing up from the afternoon. There might be occasional rain in the morning in the regions of Chungnam, southern Chungbuk, Jeolla, southern Gyeongbuk, most of Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island. Expected precipitation is less than 5mm in Gwangju/Jeonnam and Jeonbuk, around 1mm in Jeju, and under 1mm in Daejeon/Sejong/Chungnam, southern Chungbuk, most of Gyeongnam, and southern Gyeongbuk. Additionally, in the morning, there may be raindrops of less than 0.1mm in Seoul, Incheon, southern Gyeonggi, northern Chungbuk, and eastern inland areas of Busan/Ulsan/Gyeongnam.
A dry weather advisory is in effect for the metropolitan area, Gangwon-do, inland Chungcheong, and most of Gyeongsang (except western Gyeongnam), so precautions against fires are necessary. During the day, fine dust levels will rise to ‘bad’ in the metropolitan areas, Gangwon Yeongseo, Sejong, and Chungbuk due to foreign inflow, while the rest of the regions are expected to range from ‘good’ to ‘moderate’ levels.
