This summer, the heat wave is causing trouble nationwide.
Even at night, the scorching heat persists, with nighttime temperatures not dropping below 25 degrees Celsius due to tropical nights. Despite the heat at night, temperatures will soar even higher during the day.
Under the nationwide heat wave warning, Seoul is expected to reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius, Gangneung 35 degrees, and Daegu 36 degrees. The humidity will make the heat feel even more intense.
Intermittent rain is forecasted for northern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province until this afternoon, with expected rainfall of 5-20mm. The rain is expected to come and go.
There will be a noticeable difference in the sky between central and southern regions today. Central regions with sporadic rain will generally be cloudy, while strong winds are expected in the eastern part of Gangwon Province. Conversely, southern regions will mostly be sunny, with intense sunshine and very high ultraviolet index. Be sure to apply sunscreen thoroughly.
The relentless heat is expected to intensify in the coming days, so be prepared for the heat. There is a forecast for rain in the Seoul metropolitan area and western Gangwon Province on the upcoming Friday.
