\nTropical nights were observed overnight around Seoul, the East Coast, and Jeju Island.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the lowest temperatures recorded from yesterday evening to this morning were 25.1 degrees Celsius in Seoul, 27.8 degrees Celsius in Gangneung, and 26.7 degrees Celsius in Jeju.
Tropical nights refer to a phenomenon where the lowest temperature does not drop below 25 degrees Celsius from 6:01 p.m. the previous day until 9:00 a.m. the following day.
The Korea Meteorological Administration expects that the daytime temperatures will rise above 33 degrees Celsius in Gangwon Province’s East Coast, Yeongnam, and Jeju for the time being, and tropical nights are forecasted to continue.
