Mostly clear throughout the country with daytime highs above 25 degrees Celsius. [Today’s weather]

On Saturday the 18th, it will be mostly sunny across the country with daytime temperatures expected to surpass the average levels for this time of year.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, it will be generally clear nationwide on the 18th and 19th. Inland areas will experience a significant temperature difference between day and night, so it’s advisable to be mindful of your clothing choices.

The daytime high temperatures on this day are expected to reach between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius, exceeding the average temperatures of 21.2 to 26.0 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures in major cities will be 26 degrees in Seoul, 28 degrees in Daejeon and Gwangju, 29 degrees in Daegu, 24 degrees in Busan, and 30 degrees in Gangneung. The Korea Meteorological Administration anticipates that with daytime temperatures surpassing 25 degrees in most areas nationwide, the temperature difference between day and night could be as large as 15 to 20 degrees, particularly in inland regions.

The atmosphere in Jeju Island’s mountainous areas and northern central mountainous regions will be very dry, and the dry conditions will gradually spread to Jeju Island, Gangwon Yeongdong, and the Gyeongsang region, necessitating caution against wildfires and various other fires. In particular, strong winds are expected in Gangwon Yeongdong until this day, which could easily escalate small sparks into large fires.

There may be fog on the southern coast and the western sea areas over the weekend, so it’s important to remain vigilant against marine accidents. The sunny weather will continue until Sunday the 19th. The morning low temperatures on the 19th are expected to range from 10 to 18 degrees, while daytime high temperatures will reach between 22 and 31 degrees nationwide.
