“Minor Cold’ with no severe cold… Extreme dryness centered in the east [Weather]”

Today marks ‘So-han’ on the traditional calendar. Contrary to its meaning of “small cold,” this period is often when Korea experiences its coldest temperatures. However, there won’t be any severe cold today.

Today’s weather will be typical of this time of year. From tonight, cold air will move in, bringing a brief cold snap tomorrow morning.

The atmosphere is becoming increasingly dry. A dry weather warning and alert have been issued, particularly in the eastern regions, and strong winds are expected. Extra caution is needed as small sparks could easily lead to large fires.

The skies will be clear nationwide today. However, the mountains in Jeju may see up to 5 cm of snow until the morning.

Currently, the temperature in Seoul is minus 4.3 degrees Celsius, and in Chuncheon, it is starting at minus 8.6 degrees Celsius.

The daytime high temperatures will be slightly lower than yesterday, with Seoul at 2 degrees, Cheongju at 3 degrees, and Busan at 9 degrees.

For the time being, Jeju will frequently see rain or snow.

This has been today’s weather report, brought to you by Seonmin Park.
