(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Seong-ho = Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 12th that it will launch the high-performance 2-door open-top model ‘Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet.’
This model is equipped with an upgraded twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 449 horsepower and a peak torque of 57.1 kgf·m. In addition, up to 17 kW of extra power is provided during startup via the second-generation integrated starter generator.
It also features the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ for variable all-wheel drive, providing a dynamic yet stable driving experience, and is equipped with AMG Ride Control suspension.
Although it’s a soft top, a multi-layer structure with excellent insulation effects has been applied. Wind deflectors at the top of the windshield and behind the headrests reduce wind intrusion, enhancing driving comfort, according to Mercedes-Benz Korea.
The front of the vehicle sports a dynamic design with an AMG radiator grille and an A-shaped front skirt with large air intakes.
The CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet is also available as a limited ‘Great White Edition’ model with only 17 units and the ‘Dark Night Package,’ which includes additional paid options.
