Kia K5 model year update released… Added a base trim with a reduced price.

Kia has launched the updated model of the mid-size sedan K5, named “The 2025 K5”, on the 4th. A new “Smart Selection” trim has been added to the 2.0 gasoline model. This new base model has altered some specifications and changed elements of the exterior design like the front grille compared to the existing base trim called Prestige. The new model is priced at 27.66 million won, which is lower than the existing Prestige price of 27.84 million won.

Some features like sun visor LED lighting have been made standard across all trims. From the Prestige trim and upward, features like steering wheel vibration warning and leather/heated steering wheel, which were previously optional, are now standard. The mid-level Noble trim now includes a driver posture memory system, while the high-end Signature trim adds features like heated rear seats and manual rear side sun curtains.

The 2.0 LPi rental car model now comes with ventilated front seats as a standard feature, and customers can choose preferred options like a power driver’s seat. Considering that it is used as a taxi, an exclusive wiring option allows for the affordable installation of aftermarket equipment like meters.

The prices are as follows: the 2.0 gasoline model ranges from 27.66 to 35.22 million won, the 1.6 gasoline turbo model from 29.32 to 36.01 million won, the 2.0 hybrid from 32.50 to 38.86 million won, and the 2.0 LPi from 29.20 to 32.82 million won. The 2.0 LPi rental model is priced between 25.07 and 27.74 million won.
