On the 12th, KG Mobility (KGM) announced that they have commenced full-scale production for customer deliveries of the ‘Musso EV’, the first electric pickup in South Korea. KGM held a mass production commemoration ceremony at their Pyeongtaek factory with key personnel, including Chairman Kwak Jae-sun, CEO Park Jang-ho, CEO Hwang Ki-young, and union leader No-cheol, in attendance. The event emphasized dedication to quality with the slogan “Without quality, there are no customers; without customers, there is no company.”
During the ceremony, Chairman Kwak Jae-sun expressed gratitude to all employees for their efforts in successfully producing the Musso EV and emphasized the importance of delivering quality beyond customer expectations. He also highlighted the necessity of quickly introducing niche market products to maintain a competitive edge.
The Musso EV is poised to set a new paradigm in the pickup market with its practical style, combining economic and SUV-like comfort features. It holds titles as South Korea’s first electric pickup and first monocoque body pickup, showcasing KGM’s confidence as a leading brand in pickup models.
With the addition of the Musso EV, KGM expands its lineup from internal combustion models like the Musso Sports and Musso Khan to cater to various consumer needs. The Musso EV is priced at 48 million won for the MX variant and 50.5 million won for the Black Edge variant. After receiving government subsidies, the effective price can be reduced significantly, offering further savings for small business owners through tax benefits and additional perks for electric cargo vehicles.
