Hyundai Mobis donates 10 test vehicles to Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology… “Nurturing talents”

Hyundai Mobis announced on the 23rd that it has donated 10 retired test vehicles to the Future Electric Vehicle Department at the Gyeonggi University of Science and Technology to cultivate talent in the future car sector. This is the first time that Hyundai Mobis has donated test vehicles to universities and educational institutions.

The vehicles donated by Hyundai Mobis include electric car models such as the Ioniq EV and hybrid models like the Grandeur Hybrid (HEV). They also included internal combustion engine models to support a variety of vehicle types for education and practical training.

Gyeonggi University of Science and Technology plans to utilize the donated vehicles for research and practical training materials to nurture specialized professionals in the future car industry. The university revamped its Automotive Department to the Future Electric Vehicle Department last year to focus on cultivating talent specialized in the mobility industry.

Jo Yoon-deok, in charge of management support at Hyundai Mobis, stated, “As a mobility company, we have a responsibility to contribute to the development of the domestic automotive industry,” and expressed their commitment to supporting the training of competent future automotive engineers.

Furthermore, Hyundai Mobis is actively supporting the cultivation of talent in the future car sector. Last year, the company established a recruitment-linked department with Sungkyunkwan University and is operating a program to train mobility professionals. They also organize developer competitions for university software clubs to create an environment for the development of mobility software.
