Heavy snow and severe cold continue in most parts of the country [Weather]

“Today (7th), the whole country will be mostly cloudy with snow expected to fall in most areas. In the metropolitan area and inland/mountain regions of Gangwon, the snow will mostly stop by the morning. In Chungcheong and Gyeongsang regions, it will mostly stop by 6 PM, but Jeolla region and Jeju will continue to have snow until the day after tomorrow.

The expected snowfall by today is between 3 to 8 centimeters in Seoul and the metropolitan area, with up to 10 centimeters in southern Gyeonggi and southern Gangwon. Heavy snowfall is expected in North Jeolla and Chungcheong, with more than 25 centimeters and 20 centimeters respectively by tomorrow.

The morning low temperatures will range from -12 degrees Celsius in Seoul to -1 degree in Busan, with temperatures across the country distributed between -15 to 0 degrees. The daytime high temperatures will also be lower than average, ranging from -8 degrees to 3 degrees Celsius.

The waves in the East Sea, South Sea, and the open sea in the West Sea will be as high as 5.5 meters.”
