“Enjoy Royal Cuisine at Gyeongbokgung”… ‘Surragan Tasting Festival’ Starts on the 28th

The National Heritage Administration’s Royal Palaces and Tombs Heritage Headquarters, in collaboration with the National Heritage Promotion Agency, announced today (7th) that they will be hosting the ‘Royal Cuisine Tasting Experience’ event at the Gyeongbokgung Palace kitchen area from the 28th to the 5th of the following month.

The ‘Royal Cuisine Tasting Experience’ is an event where participants can experience royal court cuisine, traditional performances, and games. It includes ‘Dadham Tasting Experience’ where one can enjoy royal tea and desserts in a traditional room while listening to Korean classical music, and ‘Gourmet Tasting Experience’ at the external kitchen.

In addition to tasting royal cuisine, the event will also feature activities such as making royal herbal teas and cup coasters, traditional games such as Geokgu, sampling traditional snacks, and various cultural experiences.

A total of 2,176 participants will be selected through a draw for the event, which will operate in four groups with two sessions per day. Applications for the first half of the year will be accepted from tomorrow (8th) at 2 PM until the 13th.
