Afternoon temperatures remain around 30 degrees Celsius in the continuation of the ‘late heat’… Occasional rain in the southern regions and Jeju.

‘The late summer heat with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius will continue on Monday, the 15th.’

‘Central regions will be mostly clear, but southern regions and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy.’

‘Jeju Island will experience intermittent rain throughout the day, and the Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do areas will see rain until the evening. The southern part of Jeonbuk will also see a few raindrops between the morning and afternoon.’

‘The expected precipitation is 10-60mm for Jeju Island, and 5-60mm for Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do are expected to have 5-40mm of rain.’

‘Temperatures will remain above the seasonal average (morning 14-20°C, afternoon 24-28°C), with the highest perceived temperature reaching around 33°C, especially in southern regions, leading to hot conditions.’

‘As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major regions are: Seoul 21.2°C, Incheon 22.4°C, Suwon 19.9°C, Chuncheon 19.5°C, Gangneung 23.4°C, Cheongju 22.7°C, Daejeon 22.0°C, Jeonju 23.0°C, Gwangju 23.6°C, Jeju 25.6°C, Daegu 22.5°C, Busan 24.9°C, Ulsan 23.2°C, and Changwon 23.7°C.’

‘The highest daytime temperatures are expected to be Seoul 30°C, Incheon 29°C, Chuncheon 29°C, Gangneung 31°C, Daejeon 31°C, Daegu 32°C, Jeonju 31°C, Gwangju 30°C, Busan 30°C, and Jeju 31°C.’

‘The highest perceived temperature will rise to around 33°C, particularly in southern regions, causing hot spots, while tropical nights could occur along the coasts of Jeju Island, the western coast of Jeolla, and the southern coast.’

‘As of 5 a.m., dense fog dropping visibility below 200 meters is present, mainly in inland areas of central and northern Gyeongsang Province.’

‘Inland airports may face disruptions in flight operations due to the dense fog, so travelers should check flight information in advance.’

‘Air quality is expected to be in the “good” to “moderate” range across all regions due to smooth atmospheric diffusion.’

‘Wave heights are expected to be 0.5-1.0m in the offshore areas of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5m in the West Sea offshore areas.’

‘Wave heights in the open sea (approximately 200 km from the coastline) are forecast to be 0.5-2.0m in the East Sea, 0.5-1.5m in the South Sea, and 0.5-1.0m in the West Sea.’
