Actor Yeo Jin-goo is enlisting in the military today (15th).
On the 15th, Yeo Jin-goo is set to join KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) and will serve for approximately 1 year and 6 months to fulfill his military duties.
Yeo Jin-goo revealed his newly cut short hair the day before his enlistment on the 14th.

In a handwritten letter, he expressed, “As I write this letter, my heart is filled with gratitude, excitement, and a bit of sadness. I am about to embark on a new experience, temporarily away from all of you. The last Asian tour before my enlistment, where I could see your faces, meet your eyes, and laugh with you, will always remain as precious memories to me.” He recalled the moments spent with fans before his enlistment and shared his thoughts on joining the military.
He continued, “During the time I will be away from you, I promise to return as a stronger and more mature person. I assure you I will stand before you with even greater health, both physically and mentally, and with deeper acting skills.”
Regarding his enlistment, his agency mentioned, “Yeo Jin-goo has been selected for KATUSA and will serve for about 1 year and 6 months starting from Monday, December 15th. As the training camp entrance ceremony involves many soldiers and their families, we will not disclose specific locations and times. We kindly ask you to refrain from visiting the site on the day.”
The agency further stated, “We always appreciate your interest in Yeo Jin-goo. Until the day he returns healthy and more mature after fulfilling his military duty, we ask for your continuous support and encouragement.”
