[OSEN=Reporter Kim Nayeon] Mukbang YouTuber Tsuyang, who revealed that she was assaulted and threatened by her ex-boyfriend, released additional recordings to address the suspicions surrounding her and made her final clarification. Meanwhile, the party that first raised the allegations, ‘Gaseyeon’, is pressuring Tsuyang for additional explanations, causing backlash.
On the 1st, Tsuyang posted a video on her channel titled “Final Clarification Video.” In the video, Tsuyang addressed the allegations raised by ‘Gaseyeon’ regarding “identity theft in sterilization surgery,” tax evasion, and being from an adult entertainment establishment. First, regarding the claim that her ex-boyfriend and former agency representative, Mr. A, used his sister’s identity, Ms. B, for sterilization surgery, Tsuyang stated, “‘Gaseyeon’ claimed that B, who watched the broadcast, was not sure if it was true or not, so she contacted me to confirm. I received a response that there was no record. If identity theft is confirmed through investigation, even if I didn’t know, I would accept the punishment for clearly violating the law.”
She also mentioned that she underwent sterilization surgery due to unwanted pregnancy caused by sexual assault from A. Shocking audio recordings revealed Tsuyang’s voice expressing pain with phrases like “I don’t like it”, “It hurts”, “Don’t do it.” Additionally, A mentioned, “I have to take all her money, use her as a sex slave, and then I have to kill her. You don’t need everything ultimately. I have to kill her.” Tsuyang also released several additional recordings containing the actual assault situation to dispel the misunderstanding that she was cosplaying as a victim after the ‘Gaseyeon’ broadcast.
Regarding the tax evasion allegation raised by ‘Gaseyeon’, Tsuyang explained, “At that time, the former CEO was in charge of all financial matters. I asked for settlements every time and requested to pay taxes, but the former CEO was reluctant to pay taxes and settle the accounts, which led to suspicions of tax evasion for 2019-2020 as a sole proprietor. The penalty was paid from my unsettled fees.” She went on to reveal a conversation during a National Tax Service investigation in October 2021 where A and his representative lawyer, Choi, instructed to “destroy the profit distribution agreement” and instructed the tax accountant to not show documents. She emphasized that if she undergoes a future tax investigation, she will cooperate.
It was also revealed that Tsuyang initially worked at an adult entertainment establishment before meeting A. She clarified, “‘Gaseyeon’ claims that I met the former CEO at a noraebang, and they forced me to make an apology broadcast by interviewing employees and related personnel at adult entertainment establishments to reveal my past for clarification. These people relayed to ‘Gaseyeon’ after hearing about the former agency CEO, and that’s it. Since everyone, including the PD, heard the same story from the former CEO, I can understand why such rumors spread. It is true that I started working because of the former CEO’s coercion.” She further explained, “I met the former CEO at a hunting pocha, and when we were in a relationship, he always wanted money, and making money from singing was the start of my adult entertainment industry career.”
After that, A tried to send Tsuyang to a higher-paying place, and Tsuyang started her YouTube channel while working at a room salon in Yeouido, thinking she couldn’t keep up with the situation. Due to being isolated by A from family and friends, Tsuyang couldn’t escape from A and parted ways with him in 2022 under the condition of giving all company profits in return. A demanded not only profits but also sexual favors, and when rejected, he demanded money instead of a relationship. With the help of producer Moon PD, Tsuyang eventually cut ties with A and sought legal action against him.
Prior to this, Tsuyang had filed lawsuits against two additional women in addition to the lekka YouTuber who threatened and extorted money from her under the pretext of her past. Tsuyang explained, “The two women were individuals who worked with me and the former agency CEO in Yeouido. Those two did not contact me directly at first but reached out to the former agency CEO.” She stated, “The former agency CEO said it’s your matter, handle it yourself, and I didn’t have the confidence to meet them, but thankfully, Moon PD went out for me.” Tsuyang disclosed that she paid each of them 6 million won monthly without directly confronting them.
Furthermore, at the end of the video, Tsuyang included a plea stating, “‘Gaseyeon’ Kim Se-eui is a judicial institution and has a legal obligation to provide detailed explanations about Tsuyang’s privacy as if threatening and extorting money. ‘Apologize and explain. If not, I will expose the people around you. I will condemn Tsuyang’s crimes.’ With this, Kim Se-eui carried out excessive private investigations and threats, causing distress to Tsuyang. The appeal also mentioned that Tsuyang suffered far more severe damage from the actions of YouTubers who took Tsuyang’s money, delved into her painful past, exploited her pain, spread false information about her, and threatened and coerced Tsuyang to expose her private life.
Despite Tsuyang’s explanations, ‘Gaseyeon’ continued to demand further explanations. They criticized Tsuyang’s clarification video as an “emotional appeal and incitement to public opinion” and pointed out issues like “The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service website states that medical records up to five years ago can be checked,” “The explanation about working at an adult entertainment establishment before meeting A is weak. Provide evidence,” and “She lied about the two women she claimed had never seen her face.” They insisted on more answers from Tsuyang.
In response to ‘Gaseyeon’s demands, the public opinion was not favorable. While there were comments supporting ‘Gaseyeon,’ the majority expressed reactions of “stop it.” Tsuyang had already publicly disclosed recordings and message exchanges related to her ordeal and refuted each of the allegations raised by ‘Gaseyeon.’ Criticizing Tsuyang’s clarifications as ‘nitpicking’ and clinging to her with an aggressive attitude is seen as crossing a line. It is considered meaningless for Tsuyang, who is not a judicial institution, to explain everything to ‘Gaseyeon.’ The public opinion is that ‘Gaseyeon’ is indulging in meaningless nitpicking and treating Tsuyang like any other lekka, creating content to tear her down and profit from it.
On the 31st, Tsuyang filed a complaint against Kim Se-eui, the head of ‘Gaseyeon,’ for coercion, intimidation, and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. Prior to this, Lekka and Majak Gambreulso were arrested on the 26th for coercion and extortion directed at Tsuyang. Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok instructed to “respond sternly to cyber leakers who incite hatred for profit and commercial purposes, engage in severe defamation and insults, and seize criminal proceeds.” It is reported that pre-suspect examinations (substantial examination of the warrant) for Kangakrela, who is suspected of abetting Lekka’s offenses, and Choe, the attorney accused of public defamation and abetting Lekka’s crimes, as well as coercion against A, will take place on the 2nd.
