[TV Report = Han Suji] (G)I-DLE’s member Yuqi expressed dissatisfaction about buying concert tickets out of her own pocket to gift them to acquaintances, causing a stir.

,

On the 13th, a video titled ‘The day we’ve been waiting for has finally come|EP. 90 (G)I-DLE Minnie Yuqi’ was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘TEO Teo’.

,

In the video, Jang Do-yeon mentioned to Minnie, “I heard you generously spent 10 million won of your own money to invite a hundred acquaintances to the concert.”

,

Yuqi explained, “There’s a Minnie zone. Whenever there’s a concert in Thailand, her family, acquaintances, school seniors and juniors, and friends all gather in one place.”

,

Yuqi continued, “There’s something I don’t understand,” adding, “Inviting people to a concert should be a nice thing, right? But it’s hard to grasp why we have to buy tickets out of our own pocket for our performance. To be precise, we’re only given four free tickets per person, and the rest we have to purchase ourselves.”

,

In response, Jang Do-yeon suggested, “You should’ve included that in the re-contract terms,” and both lamented, saying, “We forgot.” Minnie then commented, “We have three years left. It’s too late as we’ve already re-contracted,” leading Yuqi to add, “Thank you very much for your advice. I’ll talk to the company again.”

,

However, the fans’ reaction to this video was cold. Comments on the video included criticism such as “Celebrities surely live in their own world. They can’t understand why they’d need to mistakenly buy and give away their concert tickets to friends,” “This concert remark might get edited out as celebrities’ invites to concerts are a sensitive issue,” and “Yuqi, all your fans buy tickets themselves, considering it’s the company and not your personal funds organizing the concert,” and “It’s natural for them to see fans as suckers given that all fans are buying their own tickets.”

,

Moreover, discussions about the video spread across several online communities. Viewers responded with comments like “What do they think of their fans?” and, “It’s treating fans like fools,” expressing their anger.
