“Snoring while sleeping”… Actress Kang Soo-yeon passes away suddenly at 56, cause is

The truth behind the sudden death of the late actress Kang Soo-yeon will be revealed on the KBS2 medical storytelling entertainment program ‘Celebrity Soldier’s Secret’ airing on the 22nd. Kang Soo-yeon, born in 1966, began her acting career as a child actor in 1969. As an adult, she continued her groundbreaking career in the Korean film industry, becoming a ‘guarantee of box office success’ during a time when the industry was struggling.

In the program, director Byun Young-ju, appearing as a special guest, recalls, “I’m the same age as Soo-yeon, but I looked up to her as a senior. She believed, ‘Even if you can’t feed all the filmmakers in the world, you should at least buy them a meal.'”

Kang Soo-yeon, loved by both colleagues and audiences, complained of a headache and vomited a few times on a day in May before falling asleep. Her family, reassured by her snoring, was shocked when she suddenly passed away at the young age of 56.

The attending physician at the emergency room identified ‘cerebral hemorrhage due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm’ as the cause of death. ‘Doctor MC’ Lee Nak-jun explains, “Kang Soo-yeon’s family provided a health check-up result. She wasn’t in the health state to have cerebral hemorrhage at 56.” He adds, “An aneurysm doesn’t necessarily show symptoms and is called a ‘time bomb in the head.'”

The episode of ‘Celebrity Soldier’s Secret’ featuring actress Kang Soo-yeon will air at 8:30 PM on the 22nd.
