[SC Review] ‘I Am Solo’ contestant Sunja from the 24th season has revealed that she has been a vegetarian for 20 years, attracting attention.
On the January 8th broadcast of the SBS Plus and ENA entertainment program ‘I Am Solo’, the 24th season female contestants had a time to introduce themselves. Sunja drew the attention of her fellow cast members with her honest self-introduction on that day.
Sunja, who is 32 years old and born in 1992, introduced her background by saying, “I live in Seoul with my family. I graduated from the Business Administration department at Hanyang University and am currently working as a level 8 civil servant at a central government department.” She also shared her various hobbies, stating that she enjoys interior design and trying new experiences like marathons.
However, Sunja soon admitted with caution, “I actually have something to tell you,” shocking everyone by revealing, “I am a vegetarian.”
She explained that she could not eat meat or stew the previous evening because she is a pescetarian (a vegetarian who eats dairy products and fish). She developed a trauma from a cow eye dissection during middle school and subsequently decided, “If we can live in a society without eating animals, I’ll try living without consuming them,” due to her love for animals.
Sunja, who has been continuing her vegetarian lifestyle for 20 years, shared, “Initially, my family couldn’t understand, but now everyone respects it,” and expressed her hope for a partner who can accept her without prejudice.
