[OSEN=Reporter Kim Na-yeon] Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late Choi Jin-sil who revealed the fact of pelvic necrosis, is currently “enduring with painkillers.”
Earlier, Choi Jun-hee revealed through her social media account that she thought it was inflammation but it turned out to be Stage 3 pelvic necrosis. She shared, “I went to an orthopedic clinic for the first diagnosis, where they took an X-ray and said, ‘It’s inflammation! You need steroid injections, physical therapy, electrotherapy, and antibiotics.’ However, a few days ago when the pain suddenly worsened, I went back to a famous orthopedic clinic and was told, ‘Your pelvic necrosis has progressed a bit’,” she revealed.
It turned out that receiving steroid injections in the necrotic area accelerated the progression, eventually leading to Stage 3 pelvic necrosis. Choi Jun-hee mentioned, “I was told that I need to reach Stage 4 necrosis for medical insurance coverage and surgery to be possible. In the end, it’s artificial joint surgery.”
Regarding this, Choi Jun-hee told OSEN on the 28th, “I am currently enduring with painkillers while undergoing pain treatment. Since I have to undergo artificial joint surgery in the end, I have to endure until it reaches Stage 4.”
In particular, Choi Jun-hee expressed her anger on her social media account, saying, “During the painful time, those who placed commands on my pelvis. It’s infuriating to the point where my temples are throbbing with anger. Whether it’s a friend who said I should relieve inflammation in my pelvis with stretching because of muscle weakness or forced me to do squats to test my willpower due to lack of strength in my lower body, or hospitals that continued to administer steroid injections and prescribe antibiotics for the necrotic area.”

When asked if she plans to take separate action against the hospital that made the wrong diagnosis, Choi Jun-hee replied, “I still don’t know for sure. The initial misdiagnosis at the hospital led to such a serious situation,” adding, “For now, my current doctor told me to gather all my treatment records just in case.”
She also stated, “I feel like I have to adjust the pain by trying various painkillers. Although I limp a bit when walking, I also hold the title of a dieter, so I can’t give up on exercise due to my personality. (At the hospital), they said swimming, pilates, and cycling are fine, so I plan on exercising steadily within the limits that won’t strain my lower body.”
Meanwhile, Choi Jun-hee explained about the recent pelvic necrosis, saying, “The necrosis that occurred was not due to exercise intensity or dietary control, but was a complication of high-dose steroid intake and injections during lupus treatment 5-6 years ago, along with rheumatoid arthritis-related necrosis.”
