JoyNews24 reporter Lee Mi-young reports that broadcaster Park Na-rae is facing new allegations amid the controversy over alleged abuse towards her former manager and illegal medical practices involving a “Alcohol Aunt” (‘주사이모’). It has been claimed that Park Na-rae instructed someone to pick up gynecological medication on her behalf.
On the 13th, Dispatch reported that Park Na-rae had ordered her former managers, referred to as A and B, to pick up gynecological medication for her. The outlet claimed to have obtained medical certificates, prescriptions, and more as evidence.
The youngest manager, B, alleged that Park instructed him to retrieve medication to be taken before recording. B expressed his frustration to A, saying that this would reflect poorly on his medical records, while A apologized, acknowledging he should have been the one to get the medication.
A reported conversation between Park Na-rae and Manager A shows Park transferring 300,000 won and asking, “Did you get it?” to which A replied that he was receiving the medication after the consultation. A further claimed he felt compelled to visit the gynecologist due to both being women and wanting to protect the celebrity, while B, who is unmarried, expressed concern about future partners possibly seeing his medical records.
The former managers also revealed additional errands they were asked to run, reinforcing the allegations of exploitation. During filming for “I Live Alone” in Taiwan, A had to return home after clearing airport security to retrieve a Chanel bag for Park Na-rae and had to use an additional flight due to her request.
In addition, they claimed to have booked medical appointments for Park Na-rae’s brother and mother’s friend.
The former managers have also countered allegations of misuse of a company card by disclosing its usage records. According to A’s claims, of the 48.57 million KRW spent over one year on the card, 3.6 million KRW was used for Park Na-rae’s mother’s cosmetic surgery. B’s records included expenses related to program gatherings and gifts, including flight tickets for Park Na-rae.
Currently, Park Na-rae has suspended her activities while embroiled in allegations of abuse, illegal medical acts, and embezzlement. Both parties are pursuing legal action.
The former managers are claiming workplace harassment, causing injury, proxy prescriptions, unpaid performance fees, and intend to file a lawsuit seeking damages amounting to 1 billion KRW. They have also filed a request for a provisional seizure of property, which the court has accepted.
Park Na-rae has accused her former managers of extortion by making false claims to demand large sums of money and has completed her related legal filings. She also accused them of occupational embezzlement last month.
