Paik Jong-won’s brand Baekdabang faces mold controversy… Mr. A claims “manufacturers and brand shirk responsibility”

[TV Daily Reporter Kim Jin-seok] Baek Jong-won’s Paik’s Coffee, operated by The Born Korea, where Baek Jong-won is the CEO, has become embroiled in controversy. Recently, posts have been spreading on various online communities claiming that “mold was found in a dessert sold at Paik’s Coffee.” On the 8th, an individual referred to as A shared, “I ordered a coffee and a dessert for delivery on May 3. The dessert arrived packaged with a shelf life until September, but when I took a bite, I noticed mold on the side,” along with a photo.

The photo showed a foreign substance, presumed to be mold, on the side of the dessert. A claimed, “Paik’s Coffee said they followed all proper procedures, while The Born pointed fingers at the manufacturer. The manufacturer, Jeongin, offered 100,000 won as compensation for signing an agreement, but I wonder if that’s the right way to handle it,” adding that they received a refund of 2,300 won.
