“One and a half years after the ‘Late Park Ji-sun Defamation Controversy’… Host Yoon Nan-hee Returns”

[Herald Economy = Kim Yu-jin] Yoonan Hee, a show host who was indefinitely suspended from appearing on the CJ OnStyle channel due to a controversy over mocking a deceased person, has returned after about a year and a half. She is now appearing on Lotte Homeshopping.

According to industry insiders, since the beginning of this month, Yoonan Hee has been appearing as a guest on Lotte Homeshopping to sell fashion products. The broadcast takes place every Tuesday around 8 a.m., and she has already appeared in a total of three broadcasts.

Lotte Homeshopping stated that Yoonan Hee is appearing once a week as a guest due to persistent requests from small and medium-sized fashion product partners. It is reported that she will be selling fashion products, not beauty products, which were part of the past controversy.

To return to broadcasting, Yoonan Hee reportedly accepted the condition that her first broadcast should be conducted in the form of a donation broadcast.

Last February, Yoonan Hee mentioned a deceased comedian during a cosmetics sales broadcast on CJ OnStyle Homeshopping, which sparked controversy. At the time, while introducing cosmetics, she remarked, “I was reminded of a certain female comedian,” adding that, “She had quite a lot of concerns due to her bad skin, and I think it would have been nice if she knew about this (cosmetic product).”

A complaint was filed with the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) regarding this, and the KCSC determined that CJ OnStyle’s broadcast violated the ‘Regulations on the Introduction and Sale of Products’ and issued a legal warning. Prior to the KCSC’s decision, CJ OnStyle had already suspended her appearances indefinitely.
