NewJeans’ Danielle shares her thoughts after halting activities: “The hardest time, thank you for believing in me”

Sports Chosun’s reporter Baek Ji-eun reports that group NewJeans’ member Danielle has expressed her affection for their fandom. On the 30th, Danielle posted a lengthy message on an independently run account. She shared that reading the numerous letters sent by Bunnies (NewJeans’ fan club) made her realize the power of words and the importance of each sentence. She felt the beauty of writing and deeply appreciated how strong and warmhearted the Bunnies are.

Danielle stated that each letter allowed her to feel the sincerity of the Bunnies and brought her a sense of healing, realizing the fans truly believe in her. She expressed hopes that they would continue to be a source of support for one another, even if they can’t meet and hug in person.

Additionally, she extended her heartfelt gratitude for being her support during tough times and for the unwavering belief in her and the members.

In November last year, NewJeans announced their independent activities after terminating their exclusive contract with their agency ADOR. ADOR filed an injunction for confirmation of the contract’s validity and a ban on signing advertising contracts against the members. The court granted ADOR’s requests, dismissing NewJeans’ 11 stated reasons for contract termination, which included the absence of production due to the dismissal of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. NewJeans filed an immediate objection, which the court dismissed, leading them to describe themselves as “revolutionaries” and declare a halt to activities.
