“Loss of Property” Ku Hye-sun Donates 1 Ton of Rice to Neighbors Affected by Wildfire: “Stay Strong”

Actress Koo Hye-sun, who admitted her financial difficulties on a broadcast, has donated 1 ton of rice to a wildfire-affected area.

On the 27th, Koo Hye-sun posted a photo of herself in a UNICEF uniform on her personal channel, stating, “I delivered 1 ton of rice to Andong, Gyeongbuk with the hope that the wildfire damage will be resolved.”

She added a message of support saying, “Thank you to everyone for your dedication. I sincerely wish for the quick extinguishment, recovery, and the mental stability and recovery of the residents. Stay strong!”

Last year, Koo Hye-sun appeared on the tvN variety show ‘Truth or Setup: Elegant Life’ and revealed, “I spent all my money on education expenses.”

Introducing herself on the show as “Koo Hye-sun, who has been resting from acting for seven years,” she shocked viewers by admitting, “I virtually have no home. On test days or important occasions, I sleep in my car or at the library.”

The show revealed her car packed with daily necessities and trash, evoking sympathy from the audience.

Meanwhile, Koo Hye-sun gained fame as an internet ulzzang before her debut and made her debut in 2002 through a computer commercial. She gained popularity by appearing in popular dramas such as ‘The King and I’ and ‘Nonstop’, and gained massive fame as the female lead Geum Jan-di in ‘Boys Over Flowers’ in 2009.

In the 2010s, she enjoyed great success by appearing in numerous commercials and dramas. She married model-turned-actor Ahn Jae-hyun, whom she met on the KBS 2TV drama ‘Blood’ (2015), but they divorced in 2020.

Currently, she is studying at the KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism and has recently shared photos with her professor, updating her status on her personal channel.
