Actor Lee Yi-kyung has announced legal action against a woman who allegedly manipulated AI to fabricate and leak information about his private life. Meanwhile, the woman, referred to as Ms. A, has changed her stance once again after her previous revelations.
Ms. A posted recent claims on social media, saying she is considering releasing “proof photos” and expressing her grievances by stating, “The AI explanation is not true” and “I have never been sued,” thereby escalating the situation.
Earlier, Lee Yi-kyung denied the rumors circulating on social media, stating they were “completely untrue” and announced intentions to take legal steps. His agency, Sangyoung ENT, also confirmed that they have filed a defamation lawsuit against those who created and spread the rumors, emphasizing that no settlements or monetary compensations would be made.
Subsequently, Ms. A issued an apology, explaining that the accusations were based on falsified content manipulated with AI. She admitted, “At first, it started as a joke, and I did not expect it to gain such attention. Having written the post and used the AI-generated images, I somehow started to perceive it as reality.”
However, after reports of a lawsuit filing, she reversed her statement on social media, hinting at new revelations, which furthered public confusion as the authenticity of these claims remains unverified.
Amidst these developments, Lee Yi-kyung recently exited MBC’s “Hangout with Yoo” and his potential participation as an MC for KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” was canceled, raising concerns among fans. Nonetheless, he plans to continue filming for the shows “I Am Solo” on ENA and “Brave Detectives” on E Channel.
