Lee Soo-ji spoke out about the ‘Daechi Mom’ controversy, saying, “I feel burdened as things are not going as intended.”

Broadcaster Lee Su-ji spoke out about the parody controversy surrounding “Daechi Mom.” On the January 5th broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s ‘Oh My Girl Hyojung’s Raise the Volume,’ Lee Su-ji appeared as a guest. During the show, she mentioned the popularity of her YouTube channel ‘Hot Issueji.’ She stated, “There was talk of having a beef dinner with the team if we surpassed one million subscribers. Initially, we thought it would be okay even if we gained 10,000 to 20,000 subscribers in three months, but the response has been so positive that we’re trying to stay humble and grounded.”

Actress Han Ga-in attended the VIP premiere of the movie ‘Citizen Deok-hee’ at CGV in Yongsan, Seoul on the afternoon of the 11th. ‘Citizen Deok-hee’ is an exhilarating chase story that unfolds when the protagonist, Deok-hee, a regular citizen who fell victim to voice phishing, receives a rescue request from Jaemin, a member of the scam organization. The movie is set to be released on the 24th.

Broadcaster Hyun-young, known as ‘Songdo Mom,’ remarked on a YouTube channel, “The padding Lee Su-ji wore is genuinely popular among moms, but lately, you don’t really see it. It’s quite something.” Additionally, actress Han Ga-in faced backlash when she revealed a video on her YouTube channel ‘Han Ga-in the Free Woman’ showing her taking her kids to academies. The video attracted mocking comments and indiscriminate criticism towards her kids, leading Han Ga-in to eventually make the video private.

Following this, suspicions arose that Lee Su-ji’s actions were targeting Han Ga-in, further fueling the controversy. Despite this, Lee Su-ji continued to stir interest by uploading a second ‘Daechi Mom’ video without offering any additional statements.
