Actress Kim Sae-ron’s family and actor Kim Soo-hyun have conflicting opinions regarding her relationships during her youth. Recently, a new allegation surfaced suggesting that she dated a famous idol member during that time.
According to Money Today’s report on the morning of the 21st, in 2018, Kim Sae-ron was reportedly dating a well-known idol member, referred to as Mr. A, who was older than her. At the time, Kim Sae-ron was in her third year of high school and 17 years old by international age standards. This period coincides with the time her family claims she was dating Kim Soo-hyun.
The media outlet reported that Kim Sae-ron and Mr. A briefly parted ways in early 2019 but reunited around early to mid-2022. This was when Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving incident, and Mr. A reportedly lent her a large sum of money as she was facing financial difficulties.
The report also noted that the two broke up in early 2023 but remained in contact until the previous year. However, there are circulating rumors that one of Kim Sae-ron’s ex-boyfriends was a member of a famous seven-member idol group, but this is reported not to be true.
Kim Sae-ron’s family claims through the YouTube channel “Garosero Research Institute” (Gaseyeon) run by Kim Sae-ui that she had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun from the end of 2015 when she was in her third year of middle school until July 2021.
Initially, Kim Soo-hyun denied having dated Kim Sae-ron. However, he later admitted to having a relationship from the summer of 2019, when she was an adult, until the fall of 2020, directly contradicting her family’s claims. Kim Soo-hyun has filed lawsuits for defamation and damages amounting to 11 billion won against her family and Kim Sae-ui, the operator of “Gaseyeon.” Additionally, he has filed charges against Kim Sae-ui for violating the anti-stalking law.
Kim Sae-ron unexpectedly passed away on February 16 of this year at the age of 25.
