‘JTBC’s Leading Announcer’ Kang Ji-young Leaves the Company After 14 Years

Kang Ji-young, a prominent announcer at JTBC, is leaving the company after 14 years to embark on a freelance career. According to News1’s coverage on the 8th, Kang recently submitted her resignation to JTBC and will leave by the 11th. She joined JTBC as a special hired announcer in 2011 after gaining recognition on MBC’s audition program ‘Our Sunday Night – New Employee’. Over the years, she has significantly contributed to various programs, including news and entertainment shows, and served as a weekend anchor for JTBC’s main news program ‘Newsroom’ from 2022 to 2024.

Kang has also showcased her versatility by appearing in programs like ‘Different Class – Questions’, ‘Body Cam’, ‘Say it!’, and ‘Extreme Tour’. Recently, she has been displaying her charm on JTBC’s YouTube channel ‘Studio Hey’ in the content ‘Gonari’. Although her plans after leaving JTBC are not yet decided, she intends to explore various fields and take her time in finding a new opportunity.

Meanwhile, Kang’s appearance in Netflix’s ‘Devil’s Plan 2’ is set to be released in the first half of this year.
