On the 1st, the final decisions of the third-season relationship journey were depicted in the simultaneous finale of ‘OMANCHU’ aired on KBS Joy, KBS2, and GTV. Unlike the second season where no couples were formed, this third season drew attention with the successful formation of two couples.
During his time in the second season, Park Gwangjae deeply regretted not being able to express his feelings fully. He expressed his disappointment at his past lack of honesty by stating, “I tried not to have regrets by coming on the third season.” Park Gwangjae lit the candle of connection for Hongja and confessed, “From the first impression, I really liked you, and there wasn’t a single thing I disliked.”
Hongja reciprocated by choosing Park Gwangjae as well. She stated, “When together, I felt comfortable, and time seemed to fly,” indicating that she was drawn to Park Gwangjae from the start.
Song Byeong-cheol shared that he participated in ‘OMANCHU’ to find someone with whom he could share hobbies. He chose Hwangbo and explained his choice by saying, “I felt comfortable talking with her, and I think there will be a lot of fun activities we can do together.” Hwangbo was torn between Song Byeong-cheol, who initially excited her, and Lee Kyu-han, who gradually grew on her. Ultimately, she chose Song Byeong-cheol, emphasizing, “I believe you shouldn’t forget the feelings from the first meeting. Byeong-cheol is the person I want to get to know better.”
On the other hand, there were unexpected decisions. Lee Kyu-han, who was chosen by Solbi, did not light a connection candle. He said, “I entered ‘OMANCHU’ with an empty heart, and the third-season members filled it up.” Due to concerns that his decision might unnecessarily hurt the members, he explained his choice by saying, “I want to protect my friends,” opting not to light a candle.
Lee Kyeon, although he didn’t light a candle, opened up about his feelings for Hongja. He confessed, “The date that made me excited and nervous was the one with Hongja.” However, he gave up on a final decision after Park Gwangjae and Hongja became a couple before his choice.
On the other hand, Jang So-yeon lit a candle for Park Gwangjae even though he was connected with Hongja. She conveyed her intention to continue a friendship with him, saying, “Becoming friends is also significant to me.”
The after-dates of the couples Hongja and Park Gwangjae, and Hwangbo and Song Byeong-cheol were also revealed. Park Gwangjae visited Hongja’s trot musical performance. He visited her at the dressing room to give her a bouquet and a present for encouragement.
After the performance, the two met again at a popular pork belly restaurant, where Park Gwangjae expressed affection by saying, “I only saw Hongja in my eyes.” He warmly proposed to act as a manager, expressing a desire to visit Hongja’s favorite place, Dongmyo, together.
Meanwhile, Hwangbo and Song Byeong-cheol enjoyed a date at an indoor fishing center. Seasoned angler Song Byeong-cheol and beginner Hwangbo showed endearing chemistry, making viewers smile. Thrilled by the excitement of fishing, Hwangbo naturally initiated a ‘couple skit’ by suggesting, “Oppa, let’s do this again next week.” After fishing, the two left memories at an instant photo studio, promising another date and raising the possibility of developing into a ‘real-life couple.’
