Do Daeyoon, who returned to a survival stage after 15 years, left ‘Undercover’ at the end of the third round. In the sixth episode of ENA’s Cover Influencer Survival ‘Undercover,’ broadcast on the 16th, a ‘1vs1vs1 Weakness Target Battle,’ where the weakest is automatically eliminated, continued.
During this episode, Min Junkie, Park Junseong, and Jeon Gunho unintentionally ended up in a battle, as no one nominated them as the weakest. Jeon Gunho expressed his confidence, saying, “I don’t care about them. I think it would be better if the two of them fight.” They chose Kim Johan’s ‘Want to Fall in Love.’ There was a disagreement between Jeon Gunho and Park Junseong over whether to raise the pitch for the high notes.
Do Daeyoon, along with Siso and Lee Joon, covered Hwang Chihoon’s ‘You in My Memories.’ Do Daeyoon acknowledged, “I’m actually not a great vocalist. I will try to make up for it with experience.” However, after the performance, ‘TOP Listener’ Groovy Room’s Park Kyu-jeong commented, “Compared to Siso and Lee Joon, I felt that your voice lacked saturation,” and Do Daeyoon became the contestant who was eliminated.
Do Daeyoon, who garnered attention for returning to the audition program stage after 15 years, stated upon his elimination, “I don’t particularly like competition, so participating in a survival program was very challenging. However, it was an opportunity for growth. Thank you for listening to my song,” as he departed from ‘Undercover.’
This ‘1vs1vs1 Weakness Target Battle,’ full of tension as the weakest are eliminated, ended with 24 cover singers surviving and advancing to the fourth round. The preview showed that the fourth round mission involved not only ‘TOP Listeners,’ but also special listeners in the audience, indicating an even grander scale.
Meanwhile, Do Daeyoon participated in Mnet’s survival program ‘Superstar K Season 3’ in 2011 as part of the group Togeworl with Kim Yerim, finishing in third place. However, the following year, photos taken at a club were leaked, surrounding him with various rumors. Consequently, Do Daeyoon halted his activities and moved to the United States.
Regarding this, Do Daeyoon revealed on the KBS JOY variety program ‘Ask Us Anything’ last February that his image declined after the club photos were leaked, his manner of speaking became aggressive, and his personality changed, leading to his mother forcibly admitting him to a psychiatric hospital, which came as a shock.
