On the 12th, Ham Eun-jung wrote on her social media, “For several years, I’ve considered my ‘birthday’ not just as a day to receive congratulations for myself but as a day to express my gratitude to my mother.” Ham Eun-jung’s birthday is on December 12th (based on portal sites).
She continued, “This is my first birthday after suddenly sending my mother to heaven, so I miss her even more. However, thanks to all the love and concern from everyone, I’m staying strong. For several years, I have considered my ‘birthday’ not just a day to be congratulated myself but as a day to express my gratitude to my mother.
For my mother at that age, it must have been a tremendous day, and I wonder why there isn’t a commemoration for her efforts. It always took a long time until I came into this world, so it was a joyful birthday where we listened to and expressed our hearts to each other within the family.
Perhaps that’s why I miss my mother even more on this first birthday after suddenly sending her to heaven. However, thanks to all the condolences and concerns, I am holding on.
I’ve realized my mother’s intention this time – she wanted me to focus only on good things and work without worrying about other things. I hope my mother rests peacefully now… I intend to live steadfastly and diligently, fulfilling her part as well.
