G-Dragon is set to perform on the final stage of the ‘MAMA Awards’ making a comeback after nine years.
The ‘2024 MAMA Awards’, which continues to evolve along with the growth of Korea’s music industry by presenting the value, new directions, and future of K-POP, has announced its third lineup of performing artists, about a month before the event. Among the artists confirmed are BIBI, BOYNEXTDOOR, (G)I-DLE, and PLAVE, with G-Dragon, known for producing iconic scenes, scheduled to take the stage at the ‘MAMA Awards’.
On October 22, according to Korean time, the artists decorating the first day stage at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, include BOYNEXTDOOR and PLAVE. BOYNEXTDOOR, a 5th-generation K-POP boy group, is continuing their ‘career high’ streak with their mini 3rd album ‘19.99’, which has achieved top scores in Korea, the United States, and Japan in terms of both albums and digital singles. PLAVE, a five-member virtual idol group that debuted last year, continues its chart-topping streak, having sold out their fan concert held in October within 10 minutes and offering an eye-catching experience that broke the boundaries between the stage and audience.
On the second day in Japan, October 23, BIBI, (G)I-DLE, and G-Dragon will take the stage. BIBI, who titled herself as a sensation across generations with her single ‘Bamyanggang’, released in February this year, is loved for her unique voice, color, and stage dominance. (G)I-DLE achieved numerous accolades with their title track ‘Klaxon’ from their mini 7th album released in July, securing a triple crown on music shows and topping major domestic and international charts. They are conducting a world tour in 14 cities worldwide, starting with their performances in Seoul, drawing explosive responses with their powerful performances and vocals.
