TV personality Hong Jin-kyung has shared an update following her divorce announcement. On the 14th, Hong Jin-kyung posted on her Instagram, “I get choked up when I pick up my spoon, but I must eat today,” along with a photo. The photo shows a portrait of Yoo Jae-suk in her home and a neatly set table. She commented, “Having Oppa Jae-suk’s portrait at home and seeing his face every day brings comfort and happiness.”
Meanwhile, in 2003, Hong Jin-kyung married a non-celebrity businessman, Mr. Kim, and they have a daughter together. She recently announced that she and her husband have decided to divorce after 22 years and will be going their separate ways. According to her agency, the divorce had already taken place several months ago, but they were contemplating the timing of the announcement, considering their children.
On the 6th, Hong Jin-kyung appeared on the YouTube channel “Jip Nagan Jeong Seon-hee,” run by her close comedian friend Jeong Seon-hee, and candidly shared her divorce story. She stated, “(Daughter) Lael is doing very well, and she has a good relationship with her father too. But it’s unfortunate that it took us becoming strangers to truly regain a sense of genuine friendship.”
