[OSEN=Kang Seo-jung] Seo-ah, the daughter of Lee Jung-hyun, is taking on her first acting challenge in ‘New Item Launch Convenience Store’.
On the 5th, the KBS 2TV program ‘New Item Launch Convenience Store’ (hereafter ‘Convenience Store’) will reveal Lee Jung-hyun’s journey as she directs her second independent film. Known for her endless passion not only as an actress and singer but also as a mother, chef, and now a film director, Lee Jung-hyun is expected to impress viewers. Especially intriguing is the fact that her eldest daughter, Seo-ah, will be attempting her first acting role.
In the VCR to be aired, Lee Jung-hyun is seen waking up early on the day of her film shoot to carefully prepare lunch boxes for the staff. Seo-ah, having just woken up, comes up to her mom. Lee Jung-hyun asks Seo-ah, “Are you ready to act later? Can you do it?” Seo-ah is set to try acting for the first time in her life.
This film is actually Lee Jung-hyun’s graduate project. She explained, “Since it’s an independent film, we’re low on budget, so I asked acquaintances to appear as extras. There’s a part for a child, so I asked Seo-ah, and she said she’d like to try. She even has a line.” Seo-ah confidently said, “I want to do it like Mom,” and headed to the shoot with her mother.
When the filming began, Seo-ah watched her mom intensely as she worked. Soon, Seo-ah stood in front of the camera to deliver her first-ever acting performance. The scene required an emotional and sad line, making it a challenging shoot. Monitoring the situation were her mom, Lee Jung-hyun, as well as the ‘Convenience Store’ crew, who were anxious to see if Seo-ah could succeed.
An unexpected issue arose during Seo-ah’s shoot, creating a tense moment on set. However, following the filming, staff members showered Seo-ah with praise, saying she did a great job.
