  • [TV Daily’s reporter Kim Ji-hyun] Singer Soyou claimed to have experienced racial discrimination on a flight while returning to Korea from the United States, but there are conflicting testimonies from passengers on the same flight.
  • On the 19th, Soyou took to social media, saying, “I was transferring to a flight to Korea from Atlanta after completing my scheduled activities in New York.” She continued, “I called a Korean flight attendant to check the meal time in my tired state, but the purser took issue with my attitude and called security,” she lamented.
  • She further explained, “I even said that I would deplane if I’m the problem. Despite the cold attitude of the flight attendants, the flight continued, and I couldn’t eat anything for 15 hours,” adding, “At that moment, it crossed my mind, ‘Is this racial discrimination?’” She also remarked, “I hope no one feels suspicion or discomfort because of their race.”
