BTS’s Jungkook has once again achieved recognition from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), further establishing his global presence. Jungkook’s solo track “Standing Next to You” recently surpassed 200,000 sales in the UK, earning a ‘Silver’ certification from the BRIT Certified Singles category. This marks the third ‘Silver’ certification for Jungkook in the BRIT Certified Singles category (Standing Next to You, Seven, Standing Next To You), a unique and unprecedented achievement for a K-pop solo artist.
Previously, Jungkook also received a ‘Silver’ certification for his first solo album “GOLDEN,” making him the first and only K-solo artist to achieve this in the BRIT Certified Albums category. “Standing Next to You” debuted at number 6 on the UK Official Main Singles Chart ‘Top 100’ on November 10, 2023, and has remained on the chart for a total of 11 weeks, demonstrating its enduring popularity. Additionally, it re-entered the UK Official Singles Download Chart at number 11 and the Official Singles Sales Chart at number 12 for the week of September 13-19, maintaining a presence on both charts for 16 weeks.
