Actor Lee Yi-kyung’s side has labeled the controversy over his private life as “clearly false information” in response to allegations made by an accuser who has made further statements. On the 20th, Individual A posted on their social media account under the title “Exposing the real side of Lee Yi-kyung,” sharing screenshots of a KakaoTalk conversation. The screenshots reveal content where an individual, presumed to be male and labeled as Person B, asks A about physical measurements and requests body photos, causing a stir. A claims that B, due to having Lee Yi-kyung’s photo in the conversation, is indeed Lee Yi-kyung.
In response, Lee Yi-kyung’s agency, SangYoung Entertainment, announced via their official social media that they are preparing legal actions against the spread and posting of false information and malicious rumors regarding the recent issues spreading primarily on online communities and social media. They stated plans to assess both direct and indirect damages caused by this false information spread and to take necessary steps.
Although the initial post in question has been deleted, A resurfaced, clarifying they never demanded money and identifying themselves as a “real German.” They added they shared the story hoping no other woman would undergo a similar experience and did not anticipate the issue escalating this much.
A also communicated their stance through comments with netizens. When one netizen pointed out the illegality of exposing someone’s private life in Korea and accused A of demanding money, A clarified they once faced financial difficulty last year and asked to borrow 500,000 won, intending to repay it, but never actually received any money and remained in contact out of remorse.
Furthermore, A described sending photos first, saying, “The other party was curious about my face, so I sent a selfie.” Initially, A covered their chest area with flower emojis, but eventually sent the full image after requests to reveal more.
Adding fuel to the controversy, A posted additional materials, claiming as evidence, showing a screen recording of scrolling through Lee Yi-kyung’s official social media account, captioned as the “real account,” suggesting everyone had requested to see it.
