Lee Jae, a Korean-American, is active as a singer and composer. She composed the OST ‘Golden’ for ‘KADEHEON’ and performed the part of ‘HUNTRESS’ Lumi in the series. Her addictive songs, unique vocal tone, and outstanding singing ability have earned her enthusiastic applause from fans worldwide. ‘Golden’ maintained its No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart in the U.S. for eight weeks, proving ‘KADEHEON’s immense popularity.

On that day, Lee Jae expressed her gratification, saying, “Two months ago, I was just a composer, and suddenly receiving love and attention feels unfamiliar and amazing.” She revealed that she participated in ‘KADEHEON’ to showcase Korean culture.

Lee Jae also mentioned advice she received from her grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun. She said, “I think singing is a form of acting. You have to immerse yourself 100%,” adding, “My grandfather told me, ‘You have to act even when singing’ when I was young.” She continued, “My grandfather went through a lot of hardships. I gained a lot of inspiration by watching him work hard.” Recently, Shin Young-kyun also told her, “You did well. Keep working hard.”

Lee Jae spent over 10 years as a trainee at SM Entertainment in the past. Despite experiencing failures, she has now found a new path through her talent in composing. She has participated in several hit songs, such as Red Velvet’s ‘Psycho’.
