The payment of national taxes has been fully normalized… However, some economic ministry websites are still inaccessible.

**Post-Fire Measures at the National Information Resources Service**

Mobile banking, virtual accounts, and tax payments through ATMs, which were disrupted due to the fire at the Daejeon National Information Resources Service, have been normalized.

However, accessing some networks, including the websites of economic ministries like the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Statistics Korea, and Public Procurement Service, remains difficult.

According to the National Tax Service on the 29th, tax payments through virtual accounts, mobile banking, and ATMs that were temporarily halted due to the fire on the 26th have all been resumed.

While taxes could still be paid through Hometax and its mobile counterpart (Sontax) after the fire, other means of payment were not possible.

Although all tax payment methods have been restored, there are still issues with issuing some certificates. An NTS representative stated: “There are still problems with issuing certificates to those who paid taxes through Hometax amid server issues following the fire.”

One of the agencies minimally affected, the National Tax Service website continued to function normally during the fire as most of its data is located in Gwangju.

In contrast, other economic ministries, such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Statistics Korea, cannot yet access their websites. Statistics Korea has not completed the restoration of major public statistical services, including its website, the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS), the Statistical Data Center (SDC), Microdata Integration Service (MDIS), and Statistical Geographic Information System (SGIS).

For the Korea Customs Service, the Korea Customs Integrated Customs System (UNI-PASS), which is the core infrastructure for customs clearance, is mostly operational. However, there are minor issues with processing international mail and confirming export and import goods requirements due to system failures in related institutions. A representative from the Korea Customs Service mentioned on the 29th that they have implemented emergency response manuals.

While the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has normal website access, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries does not.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced the normal operation of the National Fiscal Information System (dBrain+) and the Integrated Management System for Treasury Subsidies (e-Naradoum), which were temporarily disrupted by the fire on the 28th. Major public services like dBrain+, Open Finance, e-Nara Property, and the Non-Tax Revenue Portal have been operating normally since 4 PM that day.

The e-Naradoum system is also functioning normally, with various access methods such as financial certificates and one-time passwords (OTPs) being provided.

Yoon Seokho, Director of the Korea Public Finance Information Service, said, “We will extend the operating hours of the dBrain+ customer support center by two hours from 8 AM to 7 PM starting on the 29th.”

The Ministry of Economy and Finance stated, “This recovery measure will ensure the smooth operation of all functions of the fiscal information system, including month-end treasury receipts and fund transfers.”
