Following former President Donald Trump’s election victory, the New York Stock Exchange has continued its rally.
On the 11th local time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.69% from the previous session, closing at 44,293.13.
This marks the first time the Dow has closed above the 44,000 mark.
The S&P 500 index also rose by 0.1%, closing above the 6,000 mark, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq index increased by 0.06% to reach a new record high.
Financial stocks, which have emerged as beneficiaries of Trump’s second term, remained strong, with GameStop, a leading ‘meme stock,’ soaring over 9%.
