Busan Metropolitan City announced on the 14th that the “2025 National Land Information Challenge Cadastral and Drone Survey Competition” will be held at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center for two days starting on the 15th.
This competition is a nationwide event where talents with core competencies in the cadastral and spatial information industry gather.
This year, about 300 participants, including local municipal officials from across the country, surveying experts, and university students in related fields, will take part, with Gijang-gun representing the city.
Gijang-gun was selected as the top team among 16 districts at the “2025 Busan Cadastral Survey Competition” held at the North Port Waterfront Park on the 30th of last month, qualifying as the city’s representative. Participants will compete in three areas: cadastral surveying, drone surveying, and detailed surveying.
Participants who achieve excellent results will receive a total of 18 awards, including the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award, the President of the Korea Land and Geospatial InformatiX Corporation Award, and the President of the Korea Spatial Information Industry Association Award. University students will be awarded prize money totaling 1 million won.
Before the awards ceremony, there will be a special lecture on “Drone Operation Using Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
