The two companies plan to set up this joint venture in 2025, incorporating Gmarket and ‘AliExpress Korea’ as subsidiaries. Once the partnership is executed, Gmarket sellers will have the opportunity to showcase their products to over 200 countries utilizing the Alibaba platform. Shinsegae Group stated that through this partnership, it aims to expand its entry into the global market and establish a new foundation for growth in domestic e-commerce.
