**Samsung and LG Win Awards at the Energy Winner Awards**
(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Han Ji-eun – Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics made a significant mark on the winners’ list at the 28th Energy Winner Awards.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 16th that it won the Energy Grand Prize for the seventh consecutive year at the “28th Energy Winner Awards,” organized by the Consumer Citizens’ Group and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Energy Agency.
The product that received the Energy Grand Prize this year is the “Bespoke AI Hybrid Kitchen Fit Max.” This product also received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, winning two crowns.
Samsung’s “Bespoke AI Dishwasher” received the Energy Technology Award for products with excellent energy efficiency technologies, and the “AI WindFree Combo Wall-mounted” received the Energy Winner Award for excellent energy-saving effects.
The “Galaxy Book5 Pro” also received the Energy Winner Award. Compared to last year’s models of the same class, this product achieved a 40% improvement in power efficiency.
LG Electronics won a record of most awards in the industry for nine consecutive years, receiving 16 awards, including three grand prizes.
The built-in style refrigerator “LG Dios AI Object Collection Fit and Max” received both the Grand Prize in the Energy Winner category and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award.
LG’s automotive component business sector applied advanced techniques like data analysis and virtual verification to significantly reduce carbon emissions, earning the Grand Prize in Carbon Neutrality as well as the Minister of Environment Award.
In addition, the “LG Tromm AI Object Collection WashTower,” equipped with an AI DD motor, achieved the largest washing and drying capacity in the country of 25kg while also achieving the top energy efficiency grade, receiving a Grand Prize.
The LG Whisen portable air conditioner received the Energy Efficiency Award, while products like the LG Dios Object Collection induction, LG Dios dishwasher, LG Whisen Object Collection ViewI air conditioner, LG Whisen Object Collection dehumidifier, LG PuriCare Object Collection water purifier, R32 inverter scroll chiller, cold inverter hot gas defrost system, and home-style system air conditioner AI airflow control technology were selected for the Energy Winner Award.
