S-OIL and Samsung SDS officially launch integrated ITO business

, “S-OIL announced on the 17th that it held a KICK-OFF event to officially mark the start of the integrated ITO (IT Outsourcing) project with Samsung SDS. This event was organized to commemorate the recent completion of the IT infrastructure data center relocation for S-OIL and to announce the start of the integrated ITO project jointly pursued by both companies.”

“S-OIL signed an integrated ITO contract with Samsung SDS last year, appointing Samsung SDS as the integrated IT outsourcing provider for three years starting March 2026. Samsung SDS will offer comprehensive IT operation services, including application and IT infrastructure management, security, IT diagnostics, and cloud transition consulting.”

“The two companies recently successfully completed the relocation of S-OIL’s major IT infrastructure to Samsung SDS’s data center. This large-scale relocation was undertaken for the first time in about 10 years, allowing S-OIL to revamp its IT operating environment and significantly enhance system stability and operational efficiency.”

“In the future, the foundation for transitioning to a cloud-based IT environment has been laid, establishing a basis for accelerating digital transformation.”

“S-OIL stated that through this integrated ITO project, it plans to enhance its competitiveness in IT service operations and continuously elevate its digital-based management environment.”
