On the 16th, through LinkedIn, emphasized the unique differences of robots with 70 years of accumulated life data.

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Min-ji = LG Electronics CEO Ryu Jae-cheol emphasized the differentiated competitiveness of LG Electronics robots by highlighting strategic partnerships with Nvidia and Google.

On the 16th, CEO Ryu stated in his LinkedIn post, “LG Electronics has accumulated deep ‘life data’ over nearly 70 years in the home appliance and customer service business,” and claimed, “We are experts in home service.”

LG Electronics is enhancing its expertise in industrial fields such as smart factories through Bear Robotics, which it acquired last year, and its affiliate ‘Robostar.’ Additionally, by expanding its AI investments in collaboration with the Chinese humanoid company AgiBot, it is accelerating its software and hardware capabilities.

CEO Ryu mentioned, “By using Google’s Gemini to increase contextual understanding and collaborating with Nvidia’s Isaac platform to train and test robots in a digital twin environment, we have secured powerful on-device AI capabilities supported by optimized vertically integrated hardware and software for robotics.”

LG Electronics plans to evolve home appliances into robotic solutions, starting with commercial and professional service robots.

CEO Ryu stated, “Our roadmap is clear,” and added, “Ultimately, we intend to introduce robots that serve as ‘conductors of space’ to coordinate entire households.”

Currently, LG Electronics is expanding its robotics business with the home robot ‘LG Cloi’ at the center and is also developing key components such as actuators for robots. CEO Ryu visited Shanghai, China, from the 11th for three days to examine humanoid robot technology trends and discuss potential cooperation with AgiBot’s executives.
