LG Electronics is accelerating its efforts to penetrate the North American market with total heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions.

LG Electronics announced on February 2nd that it would participate in the largest North American HVAC exhibition, ‘AHR EXPO 2026’, held in Las Vegas, USA, where it will showcase customized heating and cooling products optimized for the North American residential environment, known as the ‘Unitary System’, along with high-efficiency commercial and industrial HVAC solutions.

During the exhibition from February 2nd to 4th, LG Electronics set up a 135-pyeong (~4470 square feet) booth and created Residential, Commercial, and Industrial zones to allow visitors to easily understand their total HVAC solutions.

The company displayed the ‘Unitary Inverter Heat Pump’, an outdoor unit lineup, as a representative model of the unitary system for residential use. The unitary system, widely used in North America especially in detached houses with high ceilings, is a standardized system with an outdoor unit and indoor air conditioning device, distributing warm or cool air throughout the house via installed piping.

LG Electronics explained that the heat pumps being exhibited have high reliability and exceptional practicability, meeting North American market demands, with features like a refrigerant leak detection sensor to enhance safety. They are easy to install and maintain, providing flexibility for various residential forms.

Their ‘Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater’ attained Energy Star certification for stable hot water supply and heating efficiency. The tankless gas water heater provides hot water without separate storage and uses a dual stainless steel heat exchanger for high energy efficiency and insulation.

Additionally, LG Electronics presented various industrial HVAC solutions, including a liquid cooling solution (CDU) for AI data centers actively being built around North America. Their CDU attaches metal cooling plates directly to chips like CPU and GPU within a server and circulates cooling water through these plates to dissipate heat.

For the first time, the company unveiled the ‘Rooftop Unit’, a commercial HVAC solution made at their production facility in Huntsville, USA. The unit maintains consistent heating performance even at temperatures as low as -5°C without auxiliary backup heaters and integrates easily with building automation systems.

Lee Jae-sung, head of LG Electronics’ ES Division, stated, “We will speed up the penetration of the global HVAC market, including North America, by expanding advanced HVAC solutions such as differentiated unitary systems and AI data center cooling solutions into residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.”
