[Herald Economy = Reporter Shin Hye-won] The Korea Association of Property Appraisers (KAPA) and the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 20th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on January 17th at the KAPA headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to promote stability in national housing.
This MOU aims to contribute to the improvement of national housing welfare by establishing a cooperative system for fair appraisal-based information exchange and the operation of a sound guarantee review system.
According to the MOU, the two organizations plan to cooperate on various initiatives including ▷ linking the appraisal request and result information sharing computerized system ▷ digitizing appraisal reports and establishing customer delivery channels ▷ supporting guarantee reviews such as for rent and lease guarantees by utilizing appraisals ▷ supporting housing and financial policies related to appraisals.
KAPA President Yang Gil-soo stated, “Through this MOU, the two organizations have established a multifaceted cooperative system to ensure national housing stability,” and added, “We will do our best to be of practical help in improving the quality of life of the people through a fair and trustworthy appraisal system.”
