(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Dong-kyu = Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on the 17th that it will participate in the 55th Paris Air Show held at Le Bourget Airport in Paris, France, from June 16 to 22 (local time) to showcase next-generation aerial combat systems and future aerospace solutions.

At this exhibition, KAI presented domestic multi-role fighter FA-50, next-generation fighter KF-21, and key components of advanced composite combat systems including UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle), AAP (Multi-purpose Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), LAH (Light Armed Helicopter), and KUH (Multi-purpose Utility Helicopter) in their helicopter lineup. Additionally, they exhibited a small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite.

KAI aims to leverage this exhibition to discover new business opportunities with global clients to expand its civil aircraft business, to strengthen strategic collaboration with major partners, and to enhance marketing activities within Europe to broaden its mid-to-long term export base.

Currently, KAI produces major fuselage and wing structures in collaboration with global aircraft manufacturers like Airbus and Boeing. They are striving to diversify their civil business portfolio by expanding the supply of high-value-added structures and developing new aircraft models.

After entering the European market by exporting 48 FA-50 units to Poland in 2022, KAI is working to expand orders for KF-21, LAH, and others throughout Europe.

A KAI representative stated, “Through the Paris Air Show, we aim to reinforce the technological prowess and reliability of K-Defense in the global market and accelerate sustainable growth by expanding collaboration in global civil aviation business with key partners.”
