Food hygiene education for cooks and dietitians will be shortened from 6 hours to 3 hours in the future.
The Small and Medium-sized Business Administration and Small Business Ombudsman announced ‘Measures for Improving Regulations Affecting Small Business Inconveniences’ at the 43rd Government Policy Coordination Meeting on the 1st.
This measure is the second phase following the ‘Innovative Measures for Livelihood Regulations’ announced last November. It was developed to increase vitality in small businesses such as small business owners and self-employed individuals following the ‘Comprehensive Measures for Small Business Owners and Self-employed Individuals’ established in July this year.
A total of 17 related institutions participated in this measure, focusing on improving 33 regulations related to the livelihood of small businesses, self-employed individuals, and small businesses responsible for the livelihood economy. They aimed to address issues ranging in size and industry in order to reduce the regulatory burden on enterprises and make them more acceptable.
For instance, the regulation burden on operational sites has been relieved by resolving 11 issues. For instance, recognizing that cooks and dietitians in the food industry are already experts in food hygiene, the mandatory training hours for food hygiene were reduced from 6 hours annually to 3 hours, significantly reducing the on-site burden for group catering facilities and cooks and dietitians.
