As the May golden holiday approaches, employee expectations are rising, yet it has been revealed that there are around 170,000 franchise locations without a single regular day off. According to the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS) and franchise survey results, as of 2023, 169,364 franchises out of the 15 major industry sectors do not have a regular day off, making up 62.7% of the total.

On the other hand, specialized auto repair services (2.8%) and pharmaceutical and medical supplies retail sectors (12.1%) had fewer franchises without a regular day off.
Regarding average daily operating hours, 27.0% of all franchises had an average operating time of 14 hours or more per day.
