Emotionally Intelligent Passenger Monitoring… Harman’s Innovative In-Vehicle Technology ‘Catches Attention’ [CES 2025]

**Harman Unveils Innovative Technologies Providing Personalized Vehicle Experiences at CES 2025**

Harman, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, introduced a range of intelligent context-aware technologies and products providing highly personalized in-vehicle experiences under the theme of “Vehicle Intelligence” at the world’s largest electronics exhibition, CES 2025, held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10 (local time).

The newly launched automotive solution portfolio, named “Ready Products,” incorporates perception, feeling, and voice technologies to enhance personalized and safe automotive experiences.

Key innovations include:

– **”Ready Link Marketplace”:** A vehicle app store offering more than 150 apps and content, enhancing in-car experiences through an integrated digital commerce platform.

– **”Ready Aware”:** A V2N-based SaaS product providing intelligent warnings on road and traffic conditions, developed in collaboration with Miovision to bolster intelligent traffic solutions. It uses digital twin and machine learning algorithms to analyze road situations and inform drivers of potential hazards, ensuring safe driving choices.

– **”Ready Upgrade ADV2.0″ Digital Cockpit:** Developed in partnership with HL Klemove, this solution integrates driver assistance system (ADAS) software and sensors into a central computer platform for an enhanced driving experience.

Harman also showcased “Luna,” a hands-free avatar based on the new emotional intelligence AI system “Ready Engage.” Luna provides personalized interactions through voice and visuals, fostering an intuitive connection between passengers and automotive solutions. “Ready Engage” monitors the status of drivers and passengers through “Ready Care,” offering safe and comfortable travel experiences. For example, when driver stress is detected, Luna may suggest visiting a coffee shop and provide optimized directions.

Inside vehicles, Luna is visualized through the augmented reality-based head-up display “Ready Vision Qvue,” introduced by Harman last year. Upgraded to offer a brighter and clearer 5K resolution display, the new “Ready Display” products support HDR10+ quality and various size options for vivid in-car viewing.

Harman also introduced an audio system that maximizes auditory and content immersion, featuring the new “Harman Kardon App” for individual sound control at each seat. Additionally, the “Aura Lighting” function, synchronizing real-time lighting effects with playing music, was presented. This feature, integrated with Ready Care, offers functionalities like playing natural sounds, mood waves, and massages corresponding to the driver’s condition.

The seat-based passenger-centered expandable audio system “Seat Sonic” allows personalized music listening experiences through the “Immerti-Fy” dial for individual adjustments.

Armin Prommersberger, Harman’s CTO, stated, “Harman’s new ‘Ready Products’ comprehensively analyze and understand drivers’ and passengers’ situations to provide optimal automotive experiences. Through the new intelligent Ready Products covering the entire vehicle ecosystem, we aim to offer differentiated solutions to consumers and manufacturers.”
